How do I verify my Kalatu blog in Google Webmaster?
It is common to verify a blog using Google Webmaster Tools for several reasons.
Some of the benefits include access to real-time search statistics from Google, seeing what keywords are the most effective on your blog, and seeing insights into crawling and indexing activity on your blog.
Here is a great breakdown from Deep Creek PR:
Google Webmaster Tools allows you to access five main compartments of information about your site. Configuration, Health, Traffic, Optimization and Labs. The dashboard gives you a summary of some of the most important information you are going to want to see. Of the five tabs, Health, Traffic and Optimization contain the most helpful information for optimizing your site.
Being able to see at a glance the health of your site is important. Google webmaster tools allows you to see crawl errors, crawl stats and malware with a click of a button. Crawling is basically an all encompassing word for how users move around your site. Improving crawling of your site and getting rid of any malware (viruses, bugs, etc.) can very much improve your site and make users happy.
Yes, there is a plethora of goodies and tools available to you once your blog is verified.
That being said, Google Webmaster Tools is not a requirement for your blog to be successful and index well in the search engines.
We need to be 100% clear on one thing…
If you have a custom domain name mapped to your blog, you can use the steps in this article to verify your blog with Google.
If you do NOT have a domain name mapped, verifying your Empower Network blog will not be possible.
You will need to be sure that a custom domain is mapped to your Kalatu blog before you attempt these steps.
We’re just trying to save you a little frustration :)
Follow these steps to verify your blog…
1. Go to Google Webmaster Tools
2. Click the red Add a site button, and type the URL of the site you want to add. This will be the URL of your Kalatu blog’s custom domain. Make sure you type the entire URL, such as http://www.example.com/
3. Click Continue.
4. You will now be on the Site Verification page.Image may be NSFW.

Google’s recommended method for verifying a site is to add a meta tag to your website.
At this time, HTML coding required to verify your site in Google is not supported in Kalatu. This is due to the possibility of infection on the Empower Network domain if bad code was submitted.
However, if you have a domain name mapped to your Kalatu blog, you can verify your side on Google by using an “Alternate Method“.
The Alternate Method you will choose will be to verify your site through your domain provider.
This is shown to the right.
5. Select your domain provider (such as GoDaddy or BlueHost).
6. You will be asked to log into your DNS account with your account information. This information will allow Google Webmaster tools to verify your website using the settings in your DNS account.
IMPORTANT – Again, this process will only work if you have a mapped domain to your Kalatu blog, but it is a workable solution to verify your site.
Once your blog is verified in Google Webmaster Tools, you can submit a sitemap for your blog, monitor crawl activity, and more!
Was this process simple and easy for you?
